Hmmm….I don’t like New Year’s Resolutions, however I do like living purposefully. Naturally, the end of the year brings up all kinds of issues in this regard.

So where have I been and where am I going is weighing heavily today. As I try and wrestle with this, I am thinking about “what I don’t have” not necessarily materialistically, but what I can I have or do that will increase my level of happiness or satisfaction with life. This brings up ideas from “The Power of Now” for me such as finding enjoyment with what you have versus always wanting something else. You know the endless cycle of wanting something, getting it, then being unsatisfied and wanting something else, and on and on. Yet at the same time, filling your life up with positive people and positive enriching experiences might bring joy if you are open to it, non?

So this continued year of living intentionally, probably will work on refocussing on developing a greater level of acknowledgement and satisfaction with things as they are, while satisfying my curiosity of things “that could be.”

We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth’s climate.

The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being.

For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because Home is a non-profit film.

HOME has been made for you : share it! And act for the planet.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand

In 200,000 years on Earth, humanity has upset the balance of the planet, established by nearly four billion years of evolution. The price to pay is high, but it’s too late to be a pessimist: humanity has barely ten years to reverse the trend, become aware of the full extent of its spoliation of the Earth’s riches and change its patterns of consumption.

More than a movie, HOME will be a major event all over the globe : for the first time ever, a film will be released on the same day in over 50 countries and on every format : movie theatres, TV, DVD and Internet.
